It is a fact that many people don’t want to, can’t or aren’t able to delve into their past to talk about what happened to bring them to where they are today and Solution-Focussed Hypnotherapy doesn’t require that because it uses the present and the future only.  It is purely based on focussing on Solutions for the future.  Think of it like this:

The present: What would you like to change?
The future: What would you like to change it to?

It’s that simple. Where are you now and were do you want to be?  

The sessions begin with an Initial Consultation where I talk about the mind – how the subconscious and conscious minds work and how we can disrupt and repair patterns or thought processes that are causing you problems. We look at what it is you’d like to change and how your life will be once that change has been made. Crucially, I track your progress using a simple questionnaire so that together, we can see progress being made or address any dips to re-route us for our next session.  There is no Hypnotherapy (Focussed Attention) in this first session.

I usually recommend between four-ten sessions for my clients so that we can start to make progress together and then maintain it too.

Remember, your mind is a powerful thing but you can work with it to steer it in the direction you’d like to go so that you can conquer your fear of flying and have that holiday you’d like, visit someone because you’re no longer terrified of their dog, lose weight more easily, stop smoking, manage stress and worry in a more useful way, get a good night’s sleep and learn how to leave the day behind or improve your relationships by making tweaks to your thought processes, triggers and reactions.
